Corinna Bergemann
Vocal Teaching
Corinna Bergemann was as a member of the children's choir of the Hamburg State Opera, the world famous Alsterspatzen at an early age. Following her intensive musical basic training during her school years, she studied Vocals at the Bremen University of Arts under Prof. G. Schreckenbach. Master classes at home and abroad, for example under Thomas Mohr and the Bel Canto Institute in New York supplemented her studies.
Corinna Bergemann is a sought after oratorio singer, who gained attention with her solo concert tours with the Philharmonia Chor Hamburg and as a member of the Musica Viva Chamber Choir at home and abroad. She assists in numerous productions with the Berlin Radio Choir under Simon Rattle. Her repertoire includes all the great oratorios.
In 1999, she cofounded the Hamburg children's choir Cantemus with Clemens Bergemann, with whom she toured Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Italy, Japan and the United States as a vocal coach. Her desire to work with children’s voices was facilitated by the annual symposia on child and youth voices at the University of Leipzig. They enhanced and expanded her work with children's voices, which is now recognised far beyond Hamburg's borders.
